How to Brew

Use 1–2 teaspoons of dried mullein leaf per 8 oz cup. Pour hot water (just off the boil) over the leaf and steep for 10–15 minutes, covered. Mullein is a light, airy leaf and needs a longer steep than most — a short infusion will taste thin.

Always strain through a fine mesh strainer, a paper filter, or a tea bag. Mullein leaves carry fine natural hairs that can be irritating to the throat if they end up in the cup.
