A 6-inch wooden honey dipper turned from a single piece of natural wood — no glue, no joints, nothing to come apart in the jar. The deep grooves are what make it work: honey clings between the ridges and stays there until you stop turning it.
The right companion for a jar of raw honey, and considerably less messy than a spoon.
Why a Dipper Instead of a Spoon
A spoon carries honey on an open surface, so it drips the moment you lift it. A grooved dipper holds honey by surface tension in the channels between the ridges — rotate it as you lift and the honey stays put; stop rotating and it releases where you want it.
One-Piece Construction
Many wooden dippers are made in two parts — a turned head glued to a handle. That joint is the first thing to fail, and the adhesive sits in contact with your food. This one is turned from a single piece, so there is no joint and no glue.
How to Use It
Lower the grooved end into the jar until covered, then lift while twirling — a slow rotation keeps the honey in the grooves. Hold it over your tea, toast, or bowl and stop turning; the honey releases in a steady stream. Do not scoop it like a spoon, which is the usual reason people find dippers messy.
Care — Please Read
Wooden utensils are simple to care for and easy to ruin. Three rules:
• Rinse in warm water and dry immediately with a towel
• Never put it in the dishwasher — heat and prolonged moisture split wood
• Never leave it soaking in the sink for the same reason
Cracking and splitting are almost always caused by a dishwasher or a soak, not by the wood itself. Treated properly, it lasts years.

• Food-grade — no adhesives, no coatings, no plastic
• Deep-groove design for clean release

Storage
Store completely dry in a drawer or utensil crock. Do not leave it standing in the honey jar between uses — honey draws moisture from the air, and a permanently damp dipper will eventually darken.

Lower the grooved end into the jar until the ridges are covered, then lift while slowly twirling it. The rotation is what keeps honey in the grooves — lift straight up without turning and most of it runs back into the jar.
Hold it over your cup, toast, or bowl and stop rotating. The honey releases in a steady stream. Give it a final twist to cut the drip.
Do not scoop it like a spoon. That is the single most common mistake and the reason some people think dippers are messy.

It works for any thick, pourable liquid — maple syrup, molasses, agave, and herbal syrups all behave much like honey in the grooves.
Dip the grooved end into the honey, then lift while slowly twirling it. The rotation holds the honey in the grooves. Stop turning to release it over your cup or toast. Do not scoop it like a spoon — that is why some people find dippers messy.
A spoon carries honey on an open surface, so it drips as soon as you lift it. The channels between a dipper's ridges hold honey by surface tension and release it only when you stop rotating — which gives you far more control over where it lands.
No. Dishwasher heat and prolonged moisture cause wood to swell, crack, and split. Rinse in warm water and dry immediately with a towel instead — it takes about ten seconds.
Better not to. Honey draws moisture from the air, and a dipper left standing in the jar stays permanently damp and will eventually darken. Rinse, dry, and store it separately.
Six inches — long enough to reach the bottom of a standard honey jar without getting your fingers sticky.
No. It is plain natural wood with no adhesives, coatings, or plastic, turned from a single piece so there is no glued joint to fail.
Yes — maple syrup, molasses, agave, and herbal syrups all work the same way. Anything thick and pourable will sit in the grooves.
Completely dry, in a drawer or utensil crock. The main thing is that it should not be stored damp or left sitting in liquid.
