Steep a pinch of saffron threads in 2-3 tablespoons of warm water for 10-15 minutes, then add the saffron water to rice, soups, or desserts. For tea, steep 3-5 threads in 8 oz of hot water for 10 minutes.
Saffron has a complex, floral, and slightly earthy flavor with a subtle honey-like sweetness and mild bitterness.

A small pinch (10-15 threads) is typically enough for a dish serving 4-6 people. Saffron is potent — a little goes a long way.
Store in an airtight container away from direct sunlight, heat, and moisture. A cool, dark cupboard is ideal.
